WSP Carbon Assessment Tool

Climate change is getting more attention globally and corporate business has to adapt to the prevailing situation and hence take responsibility for their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

As a consequence, investors, customers and other stakeholders are increasingly calling for greater corporate disclosure of GHG information. They are interested in the actions companies are taking and how the companies are positioned relative to their competitors in the phase of emerging regulations. As an example, institutional investors are examining companies in their portfolios to assess the potential risks and opportunities relating to climate change, the so called Carbon Disclosure Project. In response, a growing number of companies are preparing stakeholder reports containing information on GHG emissions.

Hence, more and more companies are systematically reviewing their energy use, their transportation needs and their purchases with the aim of reducing their impact on the climate, and hence their Carbon Footprint. The Carbon Assessment Toll will assist companies and organisations in their work to calculate and visualize their emissions and to identify reduction opportunities.
